Family Harmony

Practically Perfect World
Though we are all a bunch of 'sick puppies' we are never better then we are united. Jesus said the world would know we were His disciples by the way we love each other. And my small dysfunctional family proves every day that we are Christians.
I am proud of us, that we care about each other enough to work through the uncomfortable issues and hurt feelings. How many families will get together this Christmas and ignore the elephant in the room, while we at least are ready to shoot at it.
So we will all enjoy each other and the 'out worlders' on Christmas day and as is our way we will laugh later and bond in our bizarre sense of humor. Did someone say James Bond? BobR perhaps?
I would rather spend time with family then anyone else on earth.

Dealing with the Matters of Grace

Practically Perfect World
Have you ever noticed that the more consistant your quiet times with the Lord, the more grace you have to deal with people? Mrs. Poppins has, and so she regrets her outburst and will of course deal with this matter in prayer, rather then umbrellas.
Ministry is full of hurting people who need to connect with others in order for the Lord to have an avenue to work in thier lives. I give up my right to have my spouses undivided time. I trust him to always behave with moral excellence. I trust God!

Proper manners in a Practically Perfect World

Practically Perfect World
Mrs. Poppins feels compelled to now speak to the idea of acceptable behavior in a cross gender setting. To what does she refer?
Women who find their own spouses unavailable emotionally and so turn to someone else well mannered spouses for 'company'. Please. If you have made an uncomfortable life for yourself I feel pity. But calling someone else's mate for at least an hour 3 tomes a week under the guise of shared ministry is ridiculous.
Don't make Mrs. Poppins angry....she knows what the business end of an umbrella is for.

Here's to true love

Practically Perfect World
24 years ago today Mr.Poppins and I had our first date. I have 24 beaytiful yellow roses to celebrate the fact we are dating still. He is still the most romantic man I have ever met. And I would still go out with him today.
In fact we have a date tonight.....Chinese food and small group Bible study. Do we rock or what?
Isn't it amazing what God has planned for our life? And we just stumble along, wondering how things will turn out. I am glad God has blessed me with love.

Old People

How come spending the day with old people doesn't make me feel young? There seems to be a miasma of gloom and the feeling that they are all shocked to be old.
Do we all just live in denial that it will ever happen to us?
Is this really the plan God has for us?
No.....Remember this world is not our home. Won't it be cool to see everyone in the prime of life all through eternity? Instead of having to show people how good we used to look with pictures!!
Or wait....Maybe when we don't have our sin natures we will just see the beauty of the their insides! No not their intestines...Their hearts and souls. What a lovely thought....Will anyone recognize me?

Practically Perfect World

I am so thankful for a place to minister to people! Just when you start thinking church is about us and worship and agendas, god reminds you that people are still in need of saving. Kindness and mercy and boxes of food and help with power bills and Jesus being glorified. All very cool.
I have never been part of such a sense of community, that I don't know you but we're together in this fight feeling. I think God is trying to prove a point about being able to build a church anywhere He wants......All those years in Seattle and nothing like this.
Is Post Falls the place for the soles of God's feet?
