Life is a long process and only when we get to the other side will we all understand how God was at work on shaping us into the people who would be of the most use to Him.
All the family who loved us and molded us with thier behavior.
From Aunt Dorothy I learned the hole that can't be filled when one sister withdraws from the other. I have seen my mother use the opportunity she had to teach us that we have a responsibility to witness especially to those we are connected to by the bonds of love and blood.
I have also pondered what it is that my my niece and nephew think when they see me love thier mom in a way that no one else on the planet can. And how I might have shaped them by sharring an adventure or two. Or a joke.
I would have liked to know Aunt Dorothy as one adult to another. What was her favorite book? How cool would that be if she loved Wodehouse or Benson, or thought Clarice Cliff was inspired.
I doubt Amy and Josh know these things about me. I guess I better hang around a while.

Aunt Dorthy was a reader. She read
everything. But, I can't recall
We read the Dean Hargrove books
at the same time. Very funny stuff. She took pride to the
grave with her. Sad.
